William Cone

Executive Vice President of Development

William Cone is Executive Vice President of Development for the Texas Federalist Society, where he leads the chapter's fundraising and alumni relations. In addition to his work with the Federalist Society, he is president of the Christian Legal Society, an articles editor for the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas & Energy Law and the Texas Review of Law & Politics, and a staff editor on the Texas Law Review.

He spent his 1L summer at Simpson Thacher in Houston and will return to the firm's transactional practice for his 2L summer. He will clerk for Judge Jones of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit during the 2028–29 term.

Mr. Cone is originally from Boerne, Texas. Before law school, he earned his B.B.A. in Finance, Accounting, and Political Science from Baylor University and worked as a staff auditor at EY. He is married and enjoys woodworking, hiking, and pickleball.
